About Paul
Hi, I’m Paul.
At the end of my first shift as a driver, the passenger turned to me and asked, “How did you know to turn down the radio when I was on the phone? You haven’t always been a driver, have you?”.
Born in Windsor and raised in East London, I went to work in the city at age 17. By 19, I was a junior trader in the city, eventually working my way up to chief trader of foreign exchange and derivatives. In 2000, I started a career in sales and marketing, and eventually led a team selling software. After almost 30 years in the city, I lost my job at the hands of the 2008 banking crisis.
After a couple of years of trying to get back into the corporate world, I decided it was time to take a new path. I joined a local taxi firm and started my new career. From the start, I was determined to be the best driver in the fleet.
Over my 3 years at the company, I learned the trade and observed exactly what not to do as a driver. My passengers deserved it, and now my clients expect it.
In my former life, I had spent years taking cabs around London and the rest of the world on business trips. When I started my own business, I knew exactly the kind of service the modern passenger needs.
Paul’s Car Services was born.
